Tale of The Two, the newest double album from Finnish power metal band Dragon
Throne, tells an epic story of loss, love, family and vengeance. It is a fusion
of deeply personal story fused with fantastical elements, a battle against the
strongest enemy there is; your own mind.
Instead of previous album's middle eastern themes the band decided to travel
farther east, to the land of the rising sun. In addition to the classical
instruments used in band's previous work, the album features many traditional
instruments used in Japan and China like koto, erhu and shakuhachi.
Compared to it's predecessor, Tale of The Two is more complex and progressive,
and is not afraid to take risks in it's compositions. It takes influences from
multiple sources and willing to mix different styles to sound as unique as
possible. Lot of effort was taken to make sure the music sounds and feels as
crisp as a toasted balony sandwich.
